【摘要】:Uraniumhexafluorideisabasicmaterialusedtopreparenuclearreactorfuel.Tobesuitableforthispurposethematerialmustmeetcriteriaforuraniumcontent,isotopiccompositionandmetallicimpuritiesinSpecificationC787andC996.Thispracticeresultsinthecompletedissolutionofthesampleforuraniumandimpuritiesanalysis,anddeterminationofisotopicdistributionbymassspectrometryasdescribedin,forexample,TestMethodsC761.1.1ThispracticecoversthedissolutionofUF6fromaP-10tubetoprovidesolutionsforanalysis.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafeguardandsafetyprecautionstatements,seeSection8.
