【摘要】:3.1Thermaldiffusivityisanimportantpropertyrequiredforsuchpurposesasdesignapplicationsundertransientheatflowconditions,determinationofsafeoperatingtemperature,processcontrol,andqualityassurance.3.2Theflashmethodisusedtomeasurevaluesofthermaldiffusivity(x03B1;)ofawiderangeofsolidmaterials.Itisparticularlyadvantageousbecauseofthesimplespecimengeometry,smallspecimensizerequirements,rapidityofmeasurement,andeaseofhandlingmaterialshavingawiderangeofthermaldiffusivityvaluesoveralargetemperaturerangewithasingleapparatus.Theshortmeasurementtimesinvolvedreducethechancesofcontaminationandchangeofspecimenpropertiesduetoexposuretohightemperatureenvironments.3.3Thermaldiffusivityresultsinmanycasescanbecombinedwithvaluesforspecificheat(Cp)anddensity(x03C1;)andusedtoderivethermalconductivity(x03BB;)fromtherelationx03BB;=x03B1;Cpx03C1;.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtocharacterizegraphitefordesignpurposes.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthethermaldiffusivityofcarbonsandgraphitetox00B1;5%attemperaturesupto500x00B0;C.Itrequiresonlyasmalleasilyfabricatedspecimen.Thermaldiffusivityvaluesintherangefrom0.04to2.0cm2/sarereadilymeasurablebythistestmethod;however,forthereasonoutlinedinSection5,formaterialsoutsidethisrangethistestmethodmayrequiremodification.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
