【摘要】:Thetack-freetimeisameasureofthesurfacecuretimeandmaygenerallybecorrelatedtoavarietyofusefulparameterssuchasthetimeintervalbeforethesealant(1)resistsdamagebytouchorlightsurfacecontact,(2)resistsjob-siteorairbornedirtpick-up,(3)resistsimpingingrainfall.Thetack-freetimeissometimesusedasanon-the-jobqualityassurancetest.Aqualityproductthatisconsistentandreproduciblewillgenerallyfallwithinamaximumandminimumtack-freetime.Thistestfortack-freetimecanbeusedatanytemperatureandhumidity.Itisimportantthatifasealantwillbeusedinaclimatequitedifferentthanthestandardconditionscalledoutinthistestmethod,thenthoseconditionsbeusedtotestthesealant.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforthedeterminationofthetack-freetimepropertyofsingle-andmulti-componentelastomericsealantscommonlyusedforsealing,caulking,andglazinginbuildingsandrelatedconstruction.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletoself-levelingandnon-saggradesofsealant.Sealantsrequiringslightheatingtofacilitateextrusionfromthecartridgeorgunarealsodescribedbythistestmethod.Note18212;SeeSpecificationC920fortypeandgradedefinitions.1.3Thevaluesstatedinmetricunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note28212;Currently,thereisnoISOstandardsimilartothisspecification.
