【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtogenerateanextractwithaconcentrationofthetargetanalyte(s)representativeoftheexpectedreleaseunderthescenariosimulated,andwhichcanbecomparedwithconcentrationlevelsacceptableinwastedisposal,treatment,orproductionactivities.Theextractionconditionsofthetestmethodwerechosentosimulateapotentialdisposalscenariotowhichthewastesmaybeexposed.Oneintentofthistestmethodisthattheamountofacidintheextractionfluidsreflecttheacidavailablefromtheleachateofaspecificlandfillwheremunicipalandindustrialwasteswereco-disposed.OneintentofthistestmethodistonotallowthepHoftheextractionfluidtobelowerthanthatoftheleachateofaspecificlandfillwheremunicipalandindustrialwasteswereco-disposed.Therefore,thepHoftheextractionfluidwaschosenwiththefollowingconsiderations:(1)Nottobelessthan4.93x00B1;0.05fortheextractionofwasteswithanacidneutralizationcapacityoflessthantheacidavailableinthetotalvolumeofextractionfluidusedinthemethod(ExtractionFluidNo.1).(2)At2.88x00B1;0.05,asdefinedbythepHoftheacid,fortheextractionofwasteswithanacidneutralizationcapacityofmorethantheacidavailableintheextractionfluidusedinthemethod(ExtractionFluidNo.2).Theinterpretationanduseoftheresultsofthistestmethodarelimitedbytheassumptionsofasingleco-disposalscenarioandbythefactorsaffectingthecompositionofalandfillleachateandchemicalorotherdifferencesbetweenaselectedextractionfluidandthereallandfillleachate.Thistestmethodmaybeaffectedbybiologicalchangesinthewaste,anditisnotdesignedtoisolateormeasuretheeffectofsuchprocesses.Thistestmethodproducesextractsthatareamenabletothedeterminationofbothminorandmajorconstituents.Whenminorconstituentsarebeingdetermined,itisespeciallyimportantthatprecautionsbetakeninsamplestorageandhandlingtoavoidpossiblecontaminationofthesamples.Theagitationtechnique,rate,liquid-to-solidratio,andfiltrationconditionsspecifiedinthemethodmaynotbesuitableforextractingalltypesofwastes.Thistestmethodisintendedtoextractthesamplesintheiroriginalphysicalstateasis,withoutanysizereduction.However,thesample/extractorinteractionisexpectedtocorrelatewiththeenvironmentalconditionstowhichawastemaybeexposed.Theextractionconditionsdefinedbythistestmethodareexpectedtoyieldsteady-stateconcentrations,determinedbytheextractionliquid-to-solidratioandthedurationoftheextraction,whichmayormaynotagreewiththeconcentrationofanequilibrium.1.1Thistestmethodisapplicabletotheextractionofsamplesoftreatedoruntreatedsolidwastesorsludges,orsolidifiedwastesamples,toprovideanindicationoftheleachingpotential.1.2Thistestmethodisintendedtoprovideanextractformeasurementoftheconcentrationoftheanalytesofconcern.Themeasuredvaluesmaybecomparedagainstsetorchosenacceptancelevelsinsomeapplications.1.3Ifthesoleapplicationofthetestmethodissuchapass/failcomparisonandatotalanalysisofthewastedemonstratesthatindividualanalytesarenotpresentinthewaste,orthatthechosenacceptanceconcentrationlevelscouldnotpossiblybeexceeded,thetestmethodneednotberun.1.4Ifthesoleapplicationofthetestmethodissuchapass/failcomparisonandananalysisofanyoneoftheliquidfractionsoftheextractindicatesthattheconcentrationofthetargetanalyteissohighthat,evenafteraccountingfor......
