【摘要】:Vaporpressureisanimportantphysicalpropertyofliquidspark-ignitionenginefuels.Itprovidesanindicationofhowafuelwillperformunderdifferentoperatingconditions.Forexample,vaporpressureisafactorindeterminingwhetherafuelwillcausevaporlockathighambienttemperatureorathighaltitude,orwillprovideeasystartingatlowambienttemperature.Petroleumproductspecificationsgenerallyincludevaporpressurelimitstoensureproductsofsuitablevolatilityperformance.Note38212;Vaporpressureoffuelsisregulatedbyvariousgovernmentagencies.1.1Thistestmethodcoversandisapplicabletogasolinesandgasoline-oxygenateblendswithavaporpressurerangefrom35to100kPa(5to15psi)(seeNote2).Thistestmethod,amodificationofTestMethodD323(ReidMethod),providestwoprocedurestodeterminethevaporpressure(Note1)ofgasolineandgasoline-oxygenateblends.Note0Becausetheexternalatmosphericpressureiscounteractedbytheatmosphericpressureinitiallypresentintheairchamber,thisvaporpressureisanabsolutepressureat37.8176;C(100176;F)inkilopascals(pounds-forcepersquareinch).Thisvaporpressurediffersfromthetruevaporpressureofthesampleduetosomesmallvaporizationofthesampleandairintheconfinedspace.Note0Vaporpressureofgasolineorgasoline-oxygenateblendsbelow35kPa(5psi)orgreaterthan100kPa(15psi)canbedeterminedwiththistestmethodbuttheprecisionandbias(Section)donotapply.Formaterialswithavaporpressuregreaterthan100kPa(15psi),usea0to200kPa(0to30psi)gaugeasspecifiedintheannexofTestMethodD323.1.2Somegasoline-oxygenateblendsmayshowahazewhencooledto0to1176;C.Ifahazeisobservedin9.4,itshallbeindicatedinthereportingofresults.Theprecisionandbiasstatementsforhazysampleshavenotbeendetermined(seeNote7).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificwarningsaregivenin7.5,8.4.1,8.5.1,9.1,A1.1,andA1.1.3.
